My Journey to Ingram Micro
I tried many different things before I found my way to Ingram Micro. After my O-level, I immediately started looking for vocational trainings. That's when I realised that professional life is quite strict after all. But I gritted my teeth and swiftly finished my vocational training. Since the job market for my favourite industry was unfortunately quite dire, I decided to catch up on my vocational baccalaureate diploma, and then go to university. Unfortunately, after some years I had to realise with terror that university wasn't for me after all. So, with my new job hunt, I stumbled upon a job posting by Ingram Micro. I spontaneously sent out my application and soon received an invitation to their open day. Ingram Micro gave me the chance for a vocational training as warehouse logistics specialist.
The Start at Ingram Micro
Thank goodness I wasn't the only NEW TRAINEE. I started with a mixed group of trainees into our new adventure of VOCATIONAL TRAINING at Ingram Micro! This group included Lena (management assistant in office management), Erik (qualified IT specialist on system integration) and Marlon, Robier, and myself as warehouse logistics specialists.
The beginning of my vocational training at the warehouse was a little rocky in some parts, because we were the first regular generation of vocational trainees at the company. But with the help of training instructor Janni, area instructors Rene (Inbound), Thomas (Outbound), and Anja (Quality Management), and our helpful vocational training coordinator Tanja, we successfully managed the first year of our vocational trainings.
Last summer, we were joined by new trainees for Office, IT, and warehouse. As "senior" vocational trainees, we try to support the new trainees wherever we can.
