Black Friday 2020
Covid meant people were even more keen on shopping online in 2020, so we once again broke some records on Black Friday. We beat our records from the year before, and we are proud of our employees who made this success possible.
As every year, we had some tricks up our sleeves for the Black Friday period. In the warehouse, we played special playlists of our employees' favourite genres. Anthems from musical genres like techno, rock, hip-hop, 80s, and 90s, and of course Christmas songs guaranteed bops for anyone's personal taste. 20,000 glucose sweets meant we were energised for the tasks ahead. Energy drinks, free warm drinks, and a chocolate Santa gave us additional energy boosts. This year's special treat was once again the honey produced by our very own bees on site.

The food trucks were a culinary highlight where we could get a free and delicious meal on Sunday. Once again, there was something for everyone to enjoy, just like with our playlists. A culinary tour offered treats from Asia and Italy, among other countries; and we were spoilt for choice with steak, pizza, burger, stir-fry, tortellini, and potato wedges. Of course there's always room for dessert, so there were ice cream and quark dough balls with an impressive 770 lbs. of dough needed. All the meals were truly delicious. We had a comprehensive hygiene concept including a smart pathway system and separate break times to protect our employees' health.

Given that our employees are surrounded by the latest fashion trends every day, we did a little Black Friday fashion raffle. Our employees could win truly extraordinary outfits – but we will let you be the fashion judge after reading this blog post.
All departments truly gave their all during this incredibly busy period. We would like to say thank you for the great teamwork and the incredible achievements of our team. Despite the fact that we definitely need a breather after these busy days, we're already looking forward to Black Friday 2021!
